Moving into your new unfurnished home can be exciting and stressful! As students, you want to be efficient with your time, resources, and money so that as you invest in your new home, you're happy with what you accomplished and how much money you saved.
Start by creating a list of essential furniture and appliances you will need. Good furniture can be bought used and resold later, but ensure the quality and cleanliness before bringing into your new home. It is recommended to buy your bed new. Additionally, appliances, because they come with a receipt and warranty, guaranteed knowledge that they should work and peace of mind that your food is safe.
Create a budget for your essentials. From your list, you can shop online and assign prices to plan your future spending.
With family and friends available to help you move, decide which few large pieces of furniture are most essential to buy first, and buy the rest after moving into your new home.
